Did You Know?
Long-term care wait times for people in crisis are approximately 94 days (as of spring 2013). Moderate-needs clients wait 10 to 14 months. Overall, wait time have increased by nearly four times since 2005.
The Health Ministry completed Resident Quality Inspections (RQIs) on 600 of the 630 long-term care homes in Ontario in 2015.
Table 1 below provides information about the number of Written Notifications (WNs), Voluntary Plans of Correction (VPC) and Compliance Orders (CO) issued as a result of these RQIs, by Service Area.
