| Ontario Trillium Foundation Grant Update September 2010- As noted in our June issue, Concerned Friends was awarded a capacity-building grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation to help us strengthen our organizational capacity and better fulfill our mandate. Over the summer we advertised two part-time positions – a Project Coordinator and a Resource Development Planner. We were very pleased with the response we received and now have filled both positions. Man Sang Wong, the Resource Development Planner and Marlynn Jolliffe, the project coordinator, will begin their duties mid-September. Man Sang Wong will help us develop and then implement a resource development plan to increase our public profile and engage individuals and groups in supporting our mission. Marlynn Jolliffe will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Project including maintaining statistics, and preparing reports as required for the Board. |
