Concerned Friends is a volunteer organization serving all the citizens of Ontario.
We welcome your voice and your efforts to help us in one of the following ways.
Review and tabulate data from the MOH LTC inspection reports on all the long-term care homes in Ontario
Help callers to our toll-free helpline
Advocate on behalf of individual residents with long-term care issues
Assist families as they navigate their way through the long-term care system
Participate in various public committees and work groups
Assist in researching and writing articles and reports for our newsletter and other publications as needed
Serve on our Board of Directors
Assist in community outreach
Last year our volunteers contributed over 4,500 hours toward ensuring the needs of Ontario long-term care residents are met.

Long-term care wait times for people in crisis are approximately 94 days (as of spring 2013). Moderate-needs clients wait 10 to 14 months. Overall, wait time have increased by nearly four times since 2005.
Concerned Friends of Ontario Citizens in Care Facilities is a non-profit corporation and registered charity dedicated to reform of the long-term care system and improvement of quality of life for residents. The organization is supported by membership and donations without government funding. Its activities are undertaken entirely by volunteers.
